Pickup and delivery terms

These terms apply to requests placed through the standalone Cafesserie ordering app for Kampala and Mombasa branches.

Order acceptance

Submitting an order creates a request. The order is accepted only when the selected branch confirms it. A branch may reject or cancel a request when an item is unavailable, order details cannot be verified, capacity is limited or fulfilment would be unsafe or impractical.

Menus and pricing

The menu depends on the selected city. Prices and modifiers are validated again when you submit. The app shows the branch currency—UGX in Kampala and KES in Mombasa. Delivery is free for eligible addresses.

Delivery area

Delivery is available only to a verified address within 20 kilometres of the nearest Cafesserie branch in the selected city. Map results are used to validate the radius, but you remain responsible for providing a complete address, accessible handoff point and working phone number.

Timing

Requested and promised times are estimates. Traffic, weather, demand, item preparation and building access may affect actual fulfilment. Follow the live order status or contact the branch for urgent questions.

Payment

Cash payment is available for pickup orders only. Delivery orders must be paid online through PesaPal using an available mobile-money or card method. Online orders are sent to the branch only after Cafesserie verifies the completed amount, currency and transaction directly with PesaPal. A pending, failed, cancelled, invalid or mismatched transaction does not create a branch order. If a verified payment is later reversed, any still-active order is stopped for branch review. Delivery adds no charge.

Cancellations

You may cancel an unaccepted cash pickup request in the app. After acceptance, call the branch. A branch may be unable to cancel food already being prepared. Paid PesaPal orders cannot be cancelled automatically in the app; contact the branch so payment and any refund can be handled together. A refund request is not complete until the payment provider confirms the funds were returned.

Allergies and special requests

Special requests are not guaranteed. Contact the branch before ordering if you have an allergy or dietary safety concern; kitchens may handle common allergens and cross-contact may occur.

Account and guest use

Keep your account and device secure and provide a working phone number you control. Guest checkout does not verify the number by SMS or create an account; it gives this browser session private access to the submitted order. Do not submit fraudulent, abusive or intentionally unreachable orders. Restaurant access is restricted to authorized Cafesserie staff.
